The Follow Up Visit

Today was Neviyah's follow up doctor's appointment.
She was perfect. Before they came in, she and I laid on the table and sang songs. She belly laughed, snuggled and made noises. She then let the nurse then the doctor examine her. When it came time for the catheter, she surprised us all. No crying. That is right. No crying. She stayed perfectly still, soaking in the sensations. She had a serious look on her wrinkled brow and every once in a while she made an "oh!" face. The nurses said they have never had a child that didn't cry. In fact, because she didn't cry, it took a long time. Drip. Drip. Drip. No stomach muscles rearing to push it out. The urine was clean. Friday we will have the lab analysis to confirm the clean. Antibiotics (low dose) until the voiding testing on Monday.
