Tisha B'Av
In Eichah/Lamentations it says:
נחפשה דרכינו ונחקרה ונשובה עד ה
Let us search our ways and choices, and let us investigate them, and then we may return unto G-d.
Have an easy and meaningful fast this Tisha B'av...as we grapple with the destruction of the temple, with the way in which we take beauty and mess it up, and the realization that there is darkness that we as a people still own. We lament the temple's destruction, but our broken hearts are the start to letting the Light in.
